1. Basic Policy

Hidekazu Masuda (the “Developer”) respects the privacy of users of “ClipDay” (the “App”) and appropriately manages the information handled by the App.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App uses and how such information is stored and handled.

2. Information Handled by the App

Videos and Photos

The App uses videos recorded by users, as well as videos and photos selected by users, for displaying, editing, applying filters, exporting, and other App features.

Audio

With the user’s permission, the App accesses the microphone to record audio when recording videos.

Editing Data

The App may store information required for video editing on the user’s device, including timeline data, clip information, filter settings, and other editing information.

LUT and Filter-Related Data

LUT files, filter settings, and other related information used by users may be used to provide filter and colour adjustment features.

App Settings

To improve convenience, the App may store settings such as the following on the user’s device:

• Recording duration settings
• Video stabilisation settings
• Filter and LUT settings
• Camera and other App settings

3. Access to the Camera and Microphone

To provide video recording features, the App accesses the camera and microphone only after obtaining the user’s permission.

These permissions are used for video recording and audio recording.

Users can change these permissions at any time from the iOS Settings app.

4. Access to the Photo Library

The App may access the photo library to perform features selected by the user, such as importing videos or saving exported videos.

Access to the photo library is handled in accordance with iOS permission controls.

5. Data Storage

Videos, editing data, App settings, and other data used by the App are generally stored locally on the user’s device.

The current version of ClipDay does not include a feature that uploads or stores users’ videos or editing data on servers independently operated by the Developer.

Depending on the App feature, data may be stored using SwiftData, Application Support, UserDefaults, or other storage areas provided by iOS.

6. External Transmission and Disclosure to Third Parties

The current version of the App does not include functionality that sells or provides users’ videos or editing data to third parties for advertising purposes.

Based on the current App configuration, the App does not use independent advertising SDKs, behavioural analytics SDKs, Firebase Analytics, or CloudKit to synchronise users’ videos or editing data.

However, information may be handled when required by law or when the user has provided consent, within the scope necessary for such purposes.

7. In-App Purchases

Purchases of ClipDay Pro are processed through Apple’s App Store payment system.

The App does not collect or store payment information such as users’ names, addresses, or credit card numbers.

Apple’s StoreKit information is used to verify purchase status.

8. Information Collected When Contacting Support

If a user contacts the Developer by email or other means, the Developer may handle the following information for the purpose of responding and providing support:

• Email address
• Details of the enquiry
• Information voluntarily provided by the user

This information is generally used only for responding to the user’s enquiry.

9. Security Management

The Developer makes reasonable efforts to appropriately manage information handled by the App and to prevent unauthorised access, leakage, alteration, or other security incidents.

Protection of information stored on the device also depends on the security features of iOS and the user’s device.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended to intentionally collect personal information from children.

Depending on the user’s age and circumstances, users should obtain appropriate parental or guardian consent where required before using the App.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated in response to changes in App features, data handling practices, or applicable laws and regulations.

If there are significant changes, users will be notified through the App or by other appropriate means.

If features that affect data handling are added in the future, such as accounts, cloud synchronisation, advertising, analytics services, or paid features, this Privacy Policy will be updated as necessary.
